Griffin Trailers in Elkhart Indiana is looking for a Class A CDL Driver.

If you are tired of overnight stays, long trips, and being away from home, our drivers are home every night. Our drivers operate a company pickup truck and gooseneck trailer to deliver assembled dump trailers to our paint facility and finished units back to our main plant. (approx. 20 miles round trip) Multiple trips per day. Also, retrieve parts from various locations throughout Elkhart, Wakarusa, and Goshen. On Average our drivers work around 30 hours a week but are paid for the full 40 hours.

We are currently paying $24.00 - $26.00 an hour starting with incentives. (paid 40 hours a week guaranteed)

Class A CDL Truck Driver Responsibilities:

Safely operate a pickup truck and gooseneck trailer

Safely operate an International flatbed truck with trailer

Report any issues or incidents to the supervisor

Inspect Truck and trailer before and after trips

Deliver assembled trailers to the paint shop

Deliver painted trailers to the final assembly shop

Transport parts from building to building as needed.

Class A CDL Truck Driver Qualifications:

Excellent safety record

Previous experience in truck driving

Class A CDL driver's license

Ability to handle physical workload: climbing ladders, cranking landing gear, strapping load, changing tires, able to lift 25lbs or more.

Strong work ethic

Able to pass DOT physical and Road Test

Having a minimum of 1 year of driving experience is desired but not mandatory.
