The Opportunity
As a Class A Transmission Lineman , you will be at the forefront of constructing, maintaining, and repairing the high-voltage systems that keep our world running. This is a high-impact, skilled position where you will lead crews, solve complex problems, and work with cutting-edge high-voltage equipment.
Key Responsibilities & Impact
- Lead the Way : Confidently lead crew members in the absence of the Foreman, ensuring a productive and safe work environment.
- Transmission Expertise : Safely perform new construction, maintenance, or repair on both energized and de-energized transmission systems.
- High-Voltage Skill : Work with energized high-voltage systems, showcasing the care and skill needed to protect lives.
- Technical Operations : Execute stringing of overhead wire, setting poles/anchors, and troubleshooting transmission issues.
- Advanced Linework : Proficiently sag wire, lead structure erection at all heights, and execute hot line work on conductor systems.
- Equipment Mastery : Operate digger derricks, puller and tensioner setups, and manage all aspects of heavy lifting and rigging.
- Mission-Critical Tasks : Perform reconductoring, bucket rescues, and safely install/remove mechanical jumpers.
What You Bring to the Team (Requirements)
We are looking for dedicated professionals who meet the following standards:
- Experience : A minimum of 5 years of recent field experience in transmission linework.
- Safety Focus : A steadfast commitment to following Company safety rules, policies, and conducting pre-job/tailgate briefings.
- Technical Proficiency :
* Ability to identify primary and secondary voltage and read blueprints.
* Knowledge of grounding procedures, minimum approach distances, and flag/tag procedures.
* Ability to use phasing sticks and understand one-shot reclosers.
* Familiarity with induced voltage and hot stick work.
- Physical Excellence : Able to perform rigorous physical labor, climb various structures (wood, steel, etc.), and lift over 50 lbs.
- Licenses & Mobility:
* Must possess or be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) permit within 60 days (CDL preferred).
* Willingness to travel long distances on short notice and work in various locations/states.
* Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as requested.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
You'll work in a dynamic, high-paced outdoor environment where no two days are the same. You will frequently work at heights and in inclement weather, maintaining company vehicles and tools in top condition. This role requires regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity to handle specialized PPE and rubber goods.
