    Wholesale Produce offers a unique driving structure. As a Union driver you will run overnight to the upper Midwest and Canada with minimal freight handling.

    Benefits and Pay

    • New drivers see an average base rate of $62.50 between mileage and hourly rates.
    • $130,000 - $175,000 annual first year compensation, hourly rate plus mileage
    • 100% of Health & Wellness premiums paid by the Company for you and your family including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances at $18,000/yr, benefit eligible after 60 trips
    • Employer Contributions to 401(k) at $11,000/yr

    Position Summary

    • Operate various tractor-trailer combinations for extended periods of time, over long distances between company/customer facilities in order to pick up, transport and deliver freight in a safe, timely and efficient manner
    • Drop, hook, spot or otherwise interchange equipment for loading or unloading at various locations under varied conditions
    • Carry out instructions given orally and in writing including those on manifests, bills of lading and other shipping documents to determine the location and time of delivery
    • Conduct a thorough pre and post trip inspection of the equipment
    • Perform all duties in accordance with policies and procedures
    • All loads leave between 5pm and 2am. Must be willing to do night driving.
    • Weekend work is required. Due to this being a union position, the top 9 drivers do not work weekends.

    Essential Qualifications

    • CDL-A License
    • Minimum of one year of experience
    • Clean Driving Record
    • Able to legally cross the Canadian border
    • Available to work weekends

    Requirements

    • High school or equivalent
    • Commercial Driving Experience - Class A
    • Valid Class A Commercial Driving License
    • Must be able to cross Canadian border as needed

    Pay detail

    • Pay increases annually per Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
