    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class C Driver to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of lumber, hardware, and building materials to customers and job sites. The Class C Driver will be responsible for loading and unloading materials, operating various truck types, maintaining delivery schedules, and ensuring vehicle safety and maintenance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Delivery & Transportation: Safely transport lumber and building materials using company vehicles such as box trucks, curtain-side trucks and/or flat bed trucks.

    Loading & Unloading: Assist in loading orders onto delivery trucks and unloading materials at customer sites, ensuring proper securing of loads.

    Truck Operation: Operate different truck types based on delivery needs, ensuring safe and efficient transport of materials.

    Customer Interaction: Provide excellent service when delivering materials, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.

    Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine safety checks, ensure vehicle cleanliness, and report maintenance issues.

    Safety & Compliance: Follow company safety protocols and proper material-handling procedures.

    Route Optimization: Plan efficient delivery routes to minimize delays and ensure timely deliveries.

    Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, customer signatures, and any discrepancies.

    Collaboration: Work closely with dispatchers, yard personnel, and store management to coordinate deliveries.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    Licensing: Valid Class C driver’s license required.

    Experience: Previous experience in delivery driving, preferably with lumber and building materials.

    Truck Operation Skills: Familiarity with different delivery trucks such as box trucks, flatbeds, and/or curtain-side trucks.

    Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy materials, load and unload trucks, and work in outdoor environments.

    Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and material-handling procedures.

    Customer Service: Professional and courteous approach when interacting with customers.

    Organizational Skills: Ability to manage schedules, track orders, and maintain proper documentation.
