    Job Description

    As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring our digital messages are properly built, loaded and scheduled for send across a number of channels. You’ll also interpret and report the results while looking for opportunities to test and optimize. This is a highly collaborative role that interfaces daily with our IT, Inventory Control, Creative, Sales and Merchandising teams.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital marketing, particularly in e-mail campaigns. You have worked in agencies, in-house creative teams, have a background in corporate brand identity, and can readily translate feedback from multiple stakeholders into effective digital marketing strategies. Candidate should also possess relevant digital marketing experience and demonstrate ability to manage projects and improve their workflows.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Email Marketing
      • Coordinate the email marketing calendar and responsible for flawless execution on all emails — QA content, linking, segmentation, schedule deployment, etc.
        • Build email and Push campaign logic, including ad-hoc campaigns and automations based on customer data, event triggers, and more
        • Develop meaningful database segmentation so we can tailor campaign and program messages for targeted audiences across specific market segments.
        • Partner with our Merchandisers and Creative team to execute website pages that are associated with email marketing campaigns 
        • Perform manual quality assurance of your work, with extreme attention to detail
        • Provide reporting and analysis or performance by campaign and segment to identify optimization opportunities. Calculate and/or gather response rates, churn rates, open rates, click-thru rates, etc. for analysis.
        • Project manage email marketing campaigns cross functionally with: Merchandisers, IT, Inventory Control and Sales Team
        • Connect with stakeholders internally (Creative team) to discuss goals, requirements, timing/workback schedule and next steps using our project management software
      • Ecommerce - Partner with Webmaster and Merchandisers to implement, execute, and continuously optimize the merchandising strategy for collection/landing pages, website navigation, and product placement - Build, launch, and manage all site content launches and updates, including homepage, collection pages, campaigns pages, events page, press page, etc. - Collaborate closely with Webmaster and other stakeholders to identify requirements and align on specific questions relating to the execution of ecommerce campaigns.
        • Social Media
          • Coordinate the social media calendar and schedule posts
          • Partner with Creative team to execute content (Content Specialist and Photo Stylist)
        • Be part of the thinking, bring your ideas, recommendations, and best practices to help us constantly evolve how we work, establish new, smarter, faster ways of working.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or similar field
    • 3-5 years of experience managing and executing high-volume, fast-paced email campaigns from production and deployment to QA of email/push campaigns
    • Familiarity with principles of database marketing segmentation
    • Knowledge of iContact, Marketo and Episerver a plus
    • Highly process driven. Experience working with project management tools such as Wrike is a plus
    • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SQL
    • Experience in tracking results to optimize email messaging, promotional opportunities, and campaign design
    • Excellent proofreading and attention to detail
    • Flexibility, able to adjust on the fly to changes in deadlines and asset availability
    • Team player with a positive attitude who thrives in a collaborative work environment
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite – most notably Excel and PowerPoint
    • Experience creating reports and manipulating data in Excel a plus
    • Technical aptitude, curious to figure out how everything works together
