    Summary Description:

    Work with the team of VDC experts to execute and manage a range duties related to Virtual Design and Construction on assigned projects and serve as the resource for the entire project team. Support VDC workflow from design and preconstruction through project completion while developing working relationships with owners, project teams, and subcontractors.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide comprehensive assistance during all project phases phase which includes the following:
      • Development of visualization standards and capability.
      • Works closely with project teams in solving problems through the use of digital production tools.
      • Act as a champion for innovative and integrated approach to the use of technology.
      • Understands the paradigm of standardized and modular approach to design & construction problems.
      • Supports our project teams in creation of standardized content.
      • Seeks the perfection when it comes to bridging the gap between models and construction documents.
    • Provide assistance to project teams during both design and construction coordination activities.
    • Provide technical support for a range of application used in-house. (BIM 360 or ACC Build, Revit, P6, Synchro or Bexel manager, SmartVID, PypeIO, PmWeb AutoCAD, Navisworks,)
    • Assisting and coaching the project teams in the use of companywide VDC best practices
      • Field Technology Training
      • On site coordination
      • On site reality capture
    • Assume ownership over the digital coordination process and federated model analysis and reporting.
    • Perform 4D virtual building analysis on model working closely with scheduling, project managers, and superintendents.
    • Generate Virtual Reality content from design 3D BIM models to enable project stakeholders to experience mock-up spaces in real time
    • Manage model changes through design updates and as built conditions.
    • Conducts Reality Capture activities and data processing
    • Serves as the information manager and content gatekeeper for the duration of project.
    • Assist Superintendent in the management of subcontractors and development of both work and logistic plans.
    • Maintain understanding of the Clayco/Owner contract
    • Assists with change order and submittal tracking process utilizing Clayco’s Project Management platform.
    • Assist in field reporting and field issues management
    • Utilizes Clayco’s best practices for the following activities by using BIM 360 platform:
      • Monitor project labor
      • Report and track equipment needs
      • Implement applicable safety programs
      • Submittal, Issues and QA/QC process management
      • Comprehensive handover of as-built documents and equipment data at the end of the construction cycle

    Qualifications

    • 1-3 years’ experience in AEC industry.
    • A Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture.
    • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience with VDC/BIM related processes.
    • General knowledge of construction principles/practices required
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals
    • Experienced dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work is a plus
    • Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Building Design Suite (Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks), and BIM 360 could based technology.
    • Experience with mid to large scale projects.
    • Ability to quickly analyze, interpret and compare detailed information.
    • Able to make reliable and accurate conclusions based on information gathered.
    • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.
    • Assertive and self-confident.
    • Comfortable writing and presenting verbally in a manner that is relevant to the audience.
    • Able to manage team’s expectations pro-actively.
    • Ability to educate project team on software, and workflows utilized throughout the construction process.
    • Strong understanding of project management.
    • Able to read and understand contract documents and drawings.
    • Previous experience in estimating and scheduling is highly desirable.

    • Ability to walk the job site, climb ladders, and multi floor scaffolding
