    Job Description

    As a critical member of the Clean Earth Human Resources team, the Human Resources Generalist will be supporting the Northern region of the US and be a partner to approximately 900 exempt, non-exempt, and contingent employees across 45-50 Clean Earth locations.  You will be joining a dedicated team of HR professionals who advocate the continued success of our operational teams, playing a crucial role supporting the day-to-day operations and administrative responsibilities of the Clean Earth Human Resources Department. You will have an impact on all aspects of the employee life cycle including new hire orientation, onboarding, and promoting employee engagement. You’ll be point of contact for all employee files, generating reports, maintaining pertinent databases. You’ll work closely with three HR Managers and the Regional HR Director in the development, implementation and communication of policies, procedures, programs, initiatives, and activities to increase retention and further employee satisfaction. In this role, you’ll be involved in all aspects of the HR function.  This role is remote, and you will be based out of our Corporate office in King of Prussia, PA.

    • Assist HR Manager and RPOs with onboarding of all new employees, initiating background checks, drug screenings, and processing I-9s via E-Verify, etc.
    • Oversees and accurately maintain employee files in Human Resources Data Management systems and SharePoint sites
    • Attend and aid facilitation of weekly New Hire Orientation, and manage reporting and tracking of engagement programs, turnover data, and mandatory employee trainings
    • Ownership, keying, and reporting of terminated employees and final communications
    • Facilitate and be point of contact for employment verifications, contingent worker hiring and terminations, metrics reporting, annual internal/external audits, and HR department purchase orders
    • Track, execute and process new hire benefits enrollments, Wellness Communications, Qualifying Life Events
    • Organize, file and maintain databases for employee compensation, job descriptions, ADA documentation, Performance Reviews, Corrective Actions and Performance Improvement Plans
    • Support and promote the culture of Clean Earth in alignment with core values and mission statement
    • Collaborate with the HR Manager and HR team in the development, implementation, and communication of policies, procedures, programs, and activities to increase retention and engagement.
    • Manage intake of requests from employees regarding benefits and policy questions.
    • Partner with leaders at multiple levels and their teams to develop and execute HR initiatives.
    • Act as liaison between employees and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.
    • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects and tasks as assigned.

    Salary Range: $65,000 - $73,000 Annually

    Candidates must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time via automobile with occasional travel via commercial airline.

    Required Qualifications 

    • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources or Business, or 3+ years of equivalent experience
    • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
    • Experience and knowledge in full life-cycle recruitment
    • Prior experience (2+ years) working in an office, retail or other service-oriented environment
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Extreme attention to detail
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • HR certification and/or active participation in SHRM
    • Knowledge of State and Federal Employment Laws, including Leaves of Absence and FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA.
    • Able to work with and influence at all levels of the organization.
    • Creative thinker with ability to consider “out of the box” solutions, problem solve and execute.
    • Ability to dig into an issue and identify a root cause, willingness to roll up their sleeves and taking ownership of a problem or concern.
    • Self-directed with the ability to work on multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines. Demonstrates strong capabilities in time management, planning and priority setting.
    • Excellent communication and organization skills.
    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
    • Process orientation with the ability to apply diplomacy in solving employee relations issues and conflict resolution.
    • Preferred Candidate will reside in Northern half of the US.
