    As HR Generalist, LOA Administration, you’ll be joining a dedicated team of HR professionals who support the continued success of our teams in Functional Support.  You will lead recruitment, orientation, and promoting employee engagement.  You’ll work closely with the HR Director in the development, implementation and communication of policies, procedures, programs, initiatives, and activities to increase productivity and employee satisfaction. In this role, you’ll be involved in virtually all aspects of the HR function.

    Additionally, you will act as the primary point of contact for all Clean Earth employees when they are seeking a leave of absence. As LOA Administrator, you will oversee the full LOA cycle for all employees from application to reinstatement from leave. You will interact with employees to ensure initiation of leave of absence with our third party leave provider, provide timely responses and payments on behalf of the organization, and communicate between the employee, HR, payroll and site leadership at the beginning and end of each leave of absence. You will be based at our Corporate office in King of Prussia, PA.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Monitors, tracks, coordinates the integration of leave of absence such as; FMLA, Military, State mandated leaves, Workers Compensation, Medical and company Personal Leaves of Absence for non-FMLA leaves for all employees. Reviews & approves certifications and tracks leave usage
    • Communicates decisions and ongoing expectations with employees, both verbally and written, to update them on the status of their leave requests and communicate any additional requirements as determined in partnership with the regional Human Resources Directors
    • Acts as liaison between employees, short- and long-term disability third party leave provider, benefits specialist, HR Directors, management, Legal, and Payroll Departments. Responsible for all communications with the employee, management, Human Resources, and third party leave provider during the duration of an employee leave
    • Maintains effective leave tracking and reporting systems through review of workflow processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality. Follows all Standard Operating Procedures and recommends improvements and ways to streamline work and increase effectiveness
    • Records and communicates leave of absence status changes according to Leave of Absence policy and procedures and state leave guidelines. Establishes FMLA and other LOA claims, tracks, and documents in accordance with internal workflow processes
    • Assists with the annual health and wellness enrollment programs; communicates and assists in coordination of monthly Wellness initiatives. Collaborates with benefits specialist and HR team on the development and distribution of effective communication and training materials to ensure awareness of benefit program updates and opportunities
    • Remains current on related local, state, and federal law changes as they relate to leave management. Determines leave type, eligibility, and approval; calculates appropriate leave length and monitors the maximum duration of leave within applicable local, state and workers compensation laws
    • Work with the Functional Teams to enhance the hiring, onboarding and exit processes
    • Assume lead accountability for Functional Group recruitment, orientation, and promoting culture in partnership with a cross-department employee engagement committee
    • Onboard all new employees, initiate background checks, drug screenings, process I-9 via E-Verify, etc
    • Accurately maintain Human Resource Information System records and compile reports from database
    • Support and engage the culture of Clean Earth in alignment with core values and mission statement
    • Collaborate with the HR Director in the development, implementation, and communication of policies, procedures, programs, and activities to increase productivity and employee satisfaction
    • Partner with leaders at multiple levels and their teams to develop and execute HR initiatives
    • Act as liaison between employees and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations
  • Qualifications

    BASIC REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Our qualified candidate must have a high school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of experience in human resources including experience in leave management and employee benefits

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelors’ degree in Human Resources or Business
    • HR certification and/or active participation in SHRM
    • Knowledge of State and Federal Employment Laws, including Leaves of Absence and FMLA, ADA, and HIPAA.
    • Two years HR or related experience with at least one year directly involved with Leaves of Absences
    • Experience in employee relations
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Extreme attention to detail
