Cleaner – The B.O.B.

Position Overview The B.O.B. is seeking reliable and detail-oriented cleaners to join our team. Our cleaners play a vital role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and overall guest experience across all venues in the building. This position requires flexibility and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing all public and back-of-house areas.

Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, dining areas, event spaces, and common areas throughout the building.

Empty trash and recycling receptacles and ensure proper disposal.

Assist with setup and breakdown of events when needed.

Monitor cleanliness levels during operating hours and respond promptly to spills or maintenance needs.

Follow health, safety, and sanitation standards consistently.

Report any maintenance or repair needs to management.

Requirements

Prior cleaning, custodial, or janitorial experience preferred but not required.

Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.

Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Reliable transportation to and from downtown Grand Rapids.

Availability

Must be available to work nights, weekends, and early mornings as scheduled.

Flexibility to work holidays and special events is highly preferred.

Pay

$18 to $25 per hour, based upon experience, and evaluation period.
