    A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SALES MANAGER

    As a Sales Manager, your goal is to lead and oversee growth of profitable new business and to develop and maintain effective key accounts and relationships. This will be done through managing all business development activities to ensure goals and metrics are met in accordance with our organizational strategy. Frequent travel to key territories throughout the United States will be required on a weekly basis.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

    DEVELOPING KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

    • External: Commissioned Reps/Groups, Dealers and New Businesses
    • Internal: Inside Sales, Design Team, Customer Service Team, Directors, Marketing, Finance and Administration

    SALES STRATEGY

    • Working with Sales Director to create territory-based sales plan for each key territory
    • Increasing revenue and market share through new business across all customer segments (existing accounts, new accounts and end user development)
    • Developing, overseeing and supporting Independent Rep Groups in order to develop their markets
    • Following up and maintaining all open project leads

    MEASURES

    • Achieving sales targets consistent with the sales plan created with Director of Sales
    • Using CRM to maintain open opportunities/projects & sales forecast
    • Measuring progress of personal and professional goals

    SALES ACTIVITY

    • Maintaining an updated target list of prospective, qualified customers. Frequently assessing progress in converting from prospective to current customers and add new prospects accordingly.
    • Conducting dealer visits in conjunction with reps in key territories. Targeting two territories per month.
    • Following up with dealers and representatives to increase ROI of visits.
    • Maintaining a well-known presence within the network of dealers both current and potential.
    • Actively cross-selling Clear Design products.
    • Maintaining an excellent level of communication, relationship management and follow-through with prospective and current customers.
    • Proactively anticipating and solving problems between customers and departments within Clear Design.
    • Promoting and exhibiting positive interaction between administrative, marketing, and customer service departments in the local office.
    • Actively participating in sales meetings. Providing effective suggestions or comments for improvement when necessary.
    • Participating in personal and professional development to enhance skills and identified weaknesses.
    • Providing competitor and market analysis.

    COACHING

    • Providing performance management for Inside Sales Representatives (ISR)
    • Meeting with ISRs individually each week
    • Constantly refining ISRs to have the best aligned groups
    • Leading weekly / monthly team meetings
    • Serving as the go-to for dealer/rep calls regarding deals, discounting, and or special circumstances
