Job Summary …

To evaluate, test, and trouble-shoot new and existing boilers and burners.

Essential Functions …

1. Installs equipment to be tested or evaluated.
2. Collects data from testing (pressure, temperature and emissions).
3. Creates or modifies parts to resolve problems with fabrication, assembly, or performance.
4. Maintains facilities and equipment.
5. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and performance issues.

Preferred Skills:

1. Organizational abilities for data record keeping
2. Reading comprehension
3. Understanding of engineering concepts
4. Basic understanding of electrical

Physical Skill and Effort …

Work requires skilled, accurate, rapid, and closely coordinated manual skill. Work requires mostly moderate physical exertion.

Working Conditions and Hazards …

Normal hazards associated with working in a metal fabricating environment.Personal protection equipment required consists of: safety glasses, steel toed shoes and hearing protection. Additional personal protection equipment may be required and is dependent upon the work being performed, and may include: face shield, respirator etc.

Education:

2 year degree preferred

Experience:

2 - 5 years. Education may count as work experience

Education

Required

High School or better.

Preferred

Technical/other training or better in Engineering or related field.

Experience

Boiler Room/HVAC Technician

You should be proficient in:

• Experience in a Manufacturing Environment
• Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills
• HVAC
• Electrical Troubleshooting Skills
• Blueprint Reading
• High School / GED

Salary info:

$30 - $35 / hr
