    THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY:

    We are looking for an inspired and passionate Social Media Marketing Coordinator to represent both Ricki’s and cleo. This position is based out of Ricki’s Home Office located in Winnipeg, MB.

    The Social Media Marketing Coordinator is a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for aspects of the development and implementation of Ricki's and cleo social media based communication strategies - acting as the brand voice across all social channels and online communities. The ideal candidate is equal parts social media pro and copywriter.

    Reporting to both Ricki’s and cleo Marketing Managers, the Social Media Marketing Coordinator will promote and protect each brand on social media – turning ideas into action to grow our presence and reach through social media. Passionate about fashion and retailing, and with a constant focus on our customer, this position will build on the success of our Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest channels, nurture and grow our influencer programs, and guide our growth in new areas of social media.

    Main Responsibilities:

    Execute social media plans for Ricki's and cleo that are aligned with brand and business objectives. Own the timeline for content strategy, creative development, approvals, and scheduling. Work with internal and external teams to ensure projects are handled in a timely manner and completed to brand standards, on time and on budget.

    Write compelling copy to support our social media posts. Use both words and images to tell a story about our brands and our products. Adapt your writing to each brand and on each social media platform.

    Manage and report on social media activity/campaigns including budget and performance metrics.

    Grow social media reach and engagement on channels including Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.

    Collaborate with Ricki's and cleo Marketing, Buying, E-commerce, and Customer Service departments on social media programs and implementation. Work closely with each brand’s Graphic Design department and other online marketing resources to deliver an integrated, high quality outcome.

    Monitor, listen, and respond to customer inquiries through social media, ensuring excellent customer service and consistent brand experience; escalating when required.

    Maintain and develop a community of brand followers. Be available and engaging. Be passionate about engaging existing customers, attracting new customers, and promoting our brand – with the ultimate goal of turning fans into customers.

    Listen to our customers online and use the feedback you hear to advocate for our customers and propose improvements to our products and services. Encourage and empower your peers to always put the community first, sharing the passion for the brand.

    Display patience and empathy, along with a unique ability to manage stress, work under pressure, and adapt to adverse situations.

    Nurture relationships with relevant influencers. Identify fan content that can be promoted on social media or through other marketing platforms (homepage, email, etc).

    Coordinate social media events, contests, and partnerships as required.

    Develop and execute affiliate marketing programs that are relevant to each brand.

    Monitor industry trends and competitive activities in social media and inform management of competitive landscape, opportunities, and threats.

    Stay current in social media – seeking out professional growth opportunities and continuous personal learning. Share best practices and promote learnings with other portfolio companies.

    Other duties as required.

    Qualifications:

    2+ years of demonstrated, hands-on experience in social media and/or online marketing, or related experience.

    Degree or diploma in marketing, communications, or related field.

    Proven ability to manage presence on social networking sites including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, etc.

    Excellent copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills; strong written and verbal communication.

    People oriented, love interacting with customers online, and aspire to represent the Ricki’s and cleo brands and culture online.

    Knowledge of social media scheduling, analytics, and listening tools. Experience with Google Analytics.

    Strong visual sensibility. The ability to design/execute digital content (graphic design, photography, video, animation) an asset.

    Must be a motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.

    Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and shift between projects on a time-sensitive basis.

    Passionate about social media – stay up to date on best practices, new features, and current trends.

    Public relations and/or blogging experience an asset.

    Flex hours required.

    Occasional travel may be required.
