    THE CAREER OPPORTUNITY:

    We are looking for an inspired and passionate Social Media Marketing Coordinator to represent both Ricki’s and cleo.

    The Social Media Marketing Coordinator is a highly motivated, creative individual with experience and a passion for connecting with current and future customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for aspects of the development and implementation of Ricki's and cleo social media based communication strategies - acting as the brand voice across all social channels and online communities. The ideal candidate is equal parts social media pro and writer. This position is based out of Winnipeg, MB.

    Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Social Media Specialist will promote and protect each Brand on social media – turning ideas into action to grow our presence and reach through social media. Passionate about fashion and retailing, and with a constant focus on our customer, this position will build on the success of our Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest channels, nurture and grow our blogger relations/programs, and guide our growth in new social media areas.

    Main Responsibilities:

    Execute social media plans for Ricki's and cleo that are aligned with brand and business objectives, and deliver increased user engagement and customer acquisition. Build and execute engaging content.

    You are a natural storyteller, able to mix words and images to make compelling content. Social-savvy and awareness of trends with demonstrated ability to communicate product value through written and edited stories/messages.

    Develop and promote content for all social media platforms, mapping out the content strategy and timeline, and ensuring consistency in voice across all platforms.

    Grow social media reach and engagement in current and new channels including Facebook, Pinterest, and Instagram.

    Collaborate with Ricki's and cleo Marketing, Buying, Ecommerce, and Customer Service departments on social media programs and implementation. Work closely with each Brand’s Graphic Design department and other online marketing resources to deliver an integrated, high quality outcome.

    Collaborate with the team on building the content strategy, identifying timely themes and developing engaging content that highlights key Brand initiatives.

    Collaborate with the marketing and communications team and the partnerships team to develop, plan and deliver creative content for targeted marketing campaigns.

    Monitor, listen and respond to customer inquiries through social media, ensuring excellent customer service and consistent brand experience; escalating when required.

    Communicate with followers and respond to comments in a timely manner.

    Protect the Ricki’s and cleo brands, producing on-brand engaging copy and imagery; editing and proofread all content before publication.

    Support each Brand’s overall brand initiatives with a strong social component that resonates with our target audience and grows our engagement with them.

    Coordinate/host blogger and social media events.

    Develop and execute affiliate marketing programs that are relevant to each Brand.

    Manage and report on social media campaigns including budget and performance metrics.

    Monitor industry trends and competitive activities in social media and inform management of competitive landscape, opportunities, and threats.

    Work with external vendors and agencies to ensure projects are handled in a timely manner and completed to brand standards, on time and on budget.

    Stay current in social media – seeking out professional growth opportunities and continuous personal learning.

    Share best practices and promote learnings with other portfolio companies.

    Act as the eyes and ears of each company’s brand in the rapidly evolving social media environment.

    Loves helping customers and is passionate about engaging existing customers, attracting new customers and promoting our brand, with the ultimate goal of turning fans into customers.

    Monitor, listen and respond to customer inquiries through social media, ensuring excellent customer service and consistent brand experience; escalating when required.

    Communicate with followers and respond to comments in a timely manner.

    Other duties as required.

    Qualifications:

    2+ years of demonstrated, hands-on experience in social media and/or online marketing, or related experience.

    Proven ability to manage presence on social networking sites including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, etc.

    Excellent copywriting skills; strong written and verbal communication.

    Proofreading experience.

    Degree or diploma in marketing, communications, or related field.

    People oriented, love interacting with customers online, and aspire to represent the Ricki’s and cleo brands and culture online.

    Passion for social media, including knowledge of social media analytics tools, Google Analytics, and Excel / Google Spreadsheets.

    Strong visual sensibility. The ability to design/execute digital content (graphic design, photography, video) an asset.

    Must be a motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.

    Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task and shift between projects on a time-sensitive basis.

    You are fully engaged in developing your social media career and stay up to date with best practices and what makes content successful in today’s social media world.

    People oriented, love interacting with customers online, and aspire to represent the Ricki’s and cleo brands and culture online.

    Public relations and/or blogging experience an asset.

    Flex hours required.

    Occasional travel may be required.
