SALES DEVELOPER

Clermont Steel Fabricators is an AISC Certified Fabricator located in Batavia, OH. We specialize in exposed structural steel and offer a broad spectrum of fabrication and processing, such as oxy-cutting, plasma-cutting, blasting and painting. Clermont Steel is currently seeking a qualified Sales Development Manager. The desired candidate will have 3 years of experience in structural steel fabrication and processing, within a sales or account manager role.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Sales Development Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s revenue growth plan. Sales growth targets will be achieved through optimized sales strategies which increase client base, the establishment of relationships with new and existing clients, research and development of potential products and services desired by current markets while providing market insight and intelligence and identification of business strengths and customer needs.

The Sales Development Manager will manage and coordinate new and existing projects. Successful management will include bid generation and estimating, obtaining and managing shop drawings and detailing estimates, maintaining effective communication with plant managers and foreman to develop fabrication and shipping schedules and the oversite of project shipments to job sites.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Accomplishes sales objectives by establishing relationships, executing comprehensive communication and promotion, saturation into potential markets and recognizing key players.
• Sets goals and provides performance feedback
• Recognizes opportunities and develops strategies to capture market shares
• Reviews and understands project documents (i.e. blue print drawings, steel grades, job orders, steel coatings and schedules)
• Schedules, manages, and leads projects through every phase of completion
• Maintains highly effective communication with production managers and foremen to ensure efficient, productive and cost-effective schedules
• Collaborates with executive management in strategy development and client relationship nurturing
• Coordinates work within company departments as well as with subcontractors.
• Estimates costs for project bids

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and specifications
•  Possess working knowledge of welding, painting, cutting/drilling machine operations and steel grades
• Proficient computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, estimating software, and electronic database documentation
• Knowledge in AutoCAD is a plus.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3 or more years of experience in steel fabrication and processing within a sales or account manager role.
