OPERATIONS COORDINATOR
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Master’s degree with an endorsement in Administration preferred
2. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a K-12 public school setting
3. Excellent oral and written communications
4. Ability to prepare clear, concise and accurate reports
5. Ability to establish and maintain positive and cooperative working relations at all levels
6. Knowledgeable of Board Policies, state and federal laws, and student rights
7. Strong interpersonal, grouping processing and presentation skills
8. Such alternatives as the Director of Schools may find acceptable

JOB GOAL
To assist in the development and implementation of the instructional program that will provide the best possible instructional experience for each student.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assists with scheduling facility use and maintenance
Establishes a program to promote energy conservation with the assistance of Student and Facilities Support Specialist
Reports to the Director of Operations any safety hazards observed and work orders needed
Conducts regular “walk through” audits of the school facilities to insure operating efficiency, optimum educational environment, and compliance with organization’s energy and safety policy
Responsible for the coordination of all efforts at providing safe and healthful facilities
Development, implementation and maintenance of the School Health and Safety, Emergency Management, and Contingency Operating Plans
Identification of physical hazards present at educational facilities and development of a corrective action/mitigation plan in consultation with the Directors of Student Services and Operations
Conducts new employee and annual refresher training in the system’s emergency procedures and the National Incident Management Systems (NIMS)/Incident Command System (ICS) and OSHA-required safety topics
Coordinates with CCS Supervisor Designee on-site investigations of accidents and incidents, prepares reports and makes corrective recommendations as appropriate to the CCS Supervisor Designee
Develops and maintains cooperative relationships with local emergency responders
Maintains knowledge of current and emerging issues and trends in the industry as they pertain to health, safety, and facility security
Serves as liaison to school nutrition
Assists with administrative, student behavior, and attendance issues under the direction of the Principal
Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal
