Our customers usually find us through our portfolio of websites, where we publish engaging digital content to over 10 million readers per year.     We've grown our network to include over 14,000 real estate agents around the country that will list homes for a flat fee of $3,000 or 1% depending on the home value. In states where it's allowed, our partner agents will provide a commission rebate for buyers. On average, seller's save over $9,000 when they use Clever.

    For top real estate agents, Clever provides a constant stream of qualified buyers and sellers. We save agents thousands on marketing costs, and let them focus on what they do best — helping their clients buy and sell homes.

    HOW YOU CAN HELP

    As Clever continues to grow, we're looking for customer-centric salespeople to join our inside sales team. We're a small team, and every month we speak to thousands of homeowners looking to buy or sell a home, and agents that are excited to work with them.

    Our sales team is the voice for our brand for both consumers and agents, and we present ourselves as a knowledgeable, passionate, and caring team that is looking out for the best interests of those that we serve.

    THE ROLE

    We are looking for a new teammate to join our inside sales team to help us recruit new agents to join our network.

    In this role you will:

    • Recruit top agents through cold calls across the entire united states, and get them excited about Clever
    • Match the top agents you recruit to customers that are a great fit for them to work with
    • Onboard agents that express an interest in working with Clever

    This role has a base salary of $45K + commission with OTE around $80K and ramp up.

    THE SKILL SET

    • You're able to make 70-100 calls per day, and don't mind hearing no most of the time
    • You bring a positive attitude to work every day, and it shines through in your calls
    • You love to learn, and always want to improve
    • You sound great on the phone and have a mix of customer service and sales experience
    • You have the drive to be a top salesperson, but not at the expense of the team
    • You're a team player - at Clever we win or lose as a team
    • You're a great communicator - you have the gift of the gab.

    WITHIN 1 MONTH YOU'LL

    • Attend daily training sessions with the team to make sure you're successful
    • Attend onboarding where you'll learn about all aspects of the business including sales, marketing, and engineering, while getting to meet your new team members.
    • Gain a clear understanding of Clever's business model,
    • Get familiar with all of the different roles on the sales team
    • Attend weekly 1:1s with a mentor to support your growth

    WITHIN 3 MONTHS YOU'LL

    • Have settled in as a performing member of the team
    • Have a vast knowledge of real estate
    • Be able to watch how your agents and key metrics are performing, and improving month over month
    • Be involved in our planning process for new sales improvements
    • Have learned about Sales EQ how to apply it to your conversations

    WITHIN 6 MONTHS YOU'LL

    • Be a high performing member of the team
    • Have the option to help plan team trainings and work with new team members
    • Have built lasting relationships with team members at clever (sales team and beyond)

    WITHIN 12 MONTHS YOU'LL

    • Be an expert on the entire sales process at Clever
    • Given top performance, have an opportunity for growth on the sales team,
    • Have the opportunity to help train new hires
    • Help mentor new team members
    • Be a real estate and investing expert

    SCHEDULE

    Our sales team has coverage from 7am-9pm CST - 7 days a week. Each team member works five days a week with an 8.5 hour shift that includes 30 minutes for lunch. Your schedule will be the same each week, with opportunities to change the longer you're clever.
