    About the Role

    Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Title and Escrow Operations, Clever is looking for a dedicated Assistant Escrow Officer to join our Closing Services Team. This role involves managing the end-to-end process of real estate transactions, ensuring smooth and professional interactions with all parties involved. Your ability to manage the closing process efficiently will contribute significantly to Clever's success in the real estate market.

    This person will need to be able to drive into an office 2-3 days/week.

    As the first and final point of contact for customers and clients, the Assistant Escrow Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining the company's reputation and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. By maintaining professional conduct in all interactions and providing timely feedback to business leaders, the Assistant Escrow Officer will help drive continuous improvement and uphold the company's standards of excellence.

    As an Assistant Escrow Officer, you will be accountable for:

    • Preparing and sending opening letters and “thank you” acknowledgments to all involved parties.
    • Ordering title commitments and distributing them to relevant parties.
    • Requesting and updating payoff/assumption statements as needed.
    • Preparing receipts for all funds received from customers and/or lenders.
    • Ordering wire transfers and providing wiring instructions.
    • Preparing loan packages for return to lenders.
    • Assisting the Closer/Escrow Officer with final policy disbursement, as directed.
    • Canceling files in accordance with office procedures.
    • Providing exceptional customer service by handling daily calls from lenders, buyers, attorneys, realtors, insurance companies, and other parties.

    Ideal Experience

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • 1+ years of escrow experience or real estate experience
    • Strong, demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite Excel and Word
    • Excellent written and oral communication
    • Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and work proficiently in a fast-paced environment

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Base compensation: $60-70k with total comp range $70-85k
