New Gig Solutions is partnering with a growing accounting firm seeking a Client Accounting Manager (CAM) to oversee the financial operations and accounting systems for a portfolio of clients.

This role goes beyond traditional bookkeeping. The CAM serves as a financial systems steward and operational partner, ensuring accounting technology functions properly, financial records remain accurate, and potential risks or opportunities are identified early.

The position works closely with accounting leadership, the tax team, and advisory professionals to ensure financial data supports both compliance and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Systems Oversight

• Manage client accounting systems including QuickBooks Online and cloud-based tools

• Maintain organized charts of accounts and monitor system integrations

• Ensure financial data flows accurately and efficiently

Financial Reporting & Oversight

• Review reconciliations and key accounts

• Oversee month-end close processes

• Prepare or review financial statements

• Investigate unusual transactions or trends

Risk Awareness & Advisory Support

• Identify financial risks, irregularities, or cash flow concerns

• Surface opportunities for tax planning or advisory discussions

• Ensure financial records are organized and tax-ready

Client & Team Collaboration

• Communicate with clients in a responsive and professional manner

• Coordinate with tax and advisory teams on client needs

• Participate in peer review and quality oversight within the accounting team

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of small business accounting

• Experience with QuickBooks Online and cloud accounting systems

• Ability to manage multiple client accounts independently

• Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred

• Public accounting or Client Accounting Services (CAS) experience

• Experience with service-based businesses
