    Job Description

    Duration: 12 months to start with an anticipated extension

    Location: San Francisco (remote until the virus restriction has been lifted, then you would be onsite Monday through Friday)

    Seeking an Instructional Designer to design and buildout additional educational resources to help managers and associates quickly learn the tools and processes they need to efficiently perform their job. Work closely with product managers, project teams, other change management leads and external vendors to analyze the impact of new technology and the best way to engage users in order to develop appropriate communication and training programs. Use your instructional design expertise to create live and self-paced training materials.

    DUTIES:

    • Use adult learning theory and instructional design methods to build innovative learning experiences, including e-learning, videos, simulations, case studies and interactive activities delivered online, virtually, live or a blended approach.
    • Work with subject matter experts to identify the audience’s training needs and partner to create content that meets instructional goals.
    • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process and modes of assessment that measure effectiveness.
    • Actively engage partners and users to gather feedback and continually improve training programs and content.

    WORK EXP.

    • Previous working exp. in instructional design for 3 years
    • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
    • Proficiency with authoring tools, such as Articulate 360 or Camtasia Version 8 or greater.
    • Financial services exp. or working knowledge desired.
    • Experience with Cornerstone or other learning management system desired.

    SKILLS:

    • Knowledge of instructional design principles for classroom and distance learning including development of instructional strategies, course materials, assessment techniques, appropriate integration of instructional technologies and best practices.

    • Proficient with technology and aptitude to learn new applications quickly.

    • Detail-oriented individual who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing business priorities.

    • Hands-on, ‘roll up your sleeves’ exp.

    • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills and can speak articulately with and in language appropriate for different audiences, such as frontline users (e.g., Managers), back-office operations employees and technology partners.

    • Understanding of ADDIE Instructional Design Methodology

    • Ability to formulate and deliver training on measurable learning objectives

    • A self-confident, proactive professional with the maturity necessary to work fairly autonomously and with people of all levels in the organization.

    • Generates trust and builds alliances across business and functional lines; can quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all; is a team player and encourages collaboration.

    • Consistently demonstrates and follows high standards of integrity in business decision-making.
