Job Description

Duration: 6 months to start/will be extended beyond   Work location: downtown San Francisco 

Seeking a Sr. Kafka Consultant to design a large-scale system supporting millions of transactions per month and solving complex Kafka issues.

-Possesses design & problem-solving skills. Ideally, this person should have an in-depth understanding of streaming data technologies like Amazon MSK, Apache Kafka & Confluent Kafka. -Exp. with MirrorMaker (or have exp. connecting Kafka consumer and producer) to mirror a source Kafka cluster into a target (mirror) Kafka cluster -Well versed with writing sample Java applications to validate Kafka environment(s) (both publishing/subscribing) -Should possess a deep understanding on Kafka internals-partitions/leaders/replicators. -In-depth knowledge on running Kafka troubleshooting commands. -Must have a strong understanding of AWS VPC, S3 , Cloud Watch, EC2 and Certificate Manager. -Need a basic understanding on networking, DNS, F5 load balancers and SSL certificate usage. -Ability to understand Terraform scripts. -Cross network troubleshooting skills is a plus.
