Role Overview
As a Client Partner at NextRow Digital, you will act as a senior client advocate, trusted advisor, and growth driver for a portfolio of key clients. You’ll be responsible for overseeing strategic relationships, driving business outcomes, and growing revenue. You’ll work across internal teams — creative, analytics, media, product — to ensure that client goals are met or exceeded.
You’ll be based in the Chicago metro area (or be willing to relocate/commute) and will be expected to maintain in-person connections with clients and internal teams when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the lead point of contact and senior strategic advisor for a set of high-value clients.
Develop an in-depth understanding of clients’ business goals, challenges, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to define strategic plans, annual roadmaps, and campaign priorities.
Translate client objectives into clear deliverables, project plans, and performance metrics.
Oversee execution across media, creative, data/analytics, tech, and other functions to deliver integrated digital campaigns.
Monitor performance, analyze results, and drive optimization and iteration.
Identify expansion opportunities (upsells, cross-sell) within existing accounts to grow revenue.
Lead regular business reviews, present insights, ROI analysis, and recommendations to senior client stakeholders.
Negotiate commercial agreements, scope changes, and budgets.
Act as client advocate internally, leading issue resolution, escalations, and ensuring delivery quality.
Contribute to proposals, pitches, and new business efforts in collaboration with sales leadership.
Stay current on digital marketing innovations, emerging channels, and industry best practices, and bring those ideas to clients.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
8+ years of client service, account leadership, or agency experience, ideally in digital marketing, media, or related fields.
Proven track record managing senior client relationships and driving growth.
Strong business acumen: comfortable discussing budgets, ROI, metrics, and financials.
Experience leading cross-functional teams (creative, analytics, media, tech).
Strategic thinking, problem solving, and ability to synthesize big data into clear recommendations.
Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable with ambiguity and thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.
Ability to travel occasionally to client sites, industry events, or internal offices.
Based in or willing to relocate to greater Chicago area.
Preferred Skills & Experiences
Experience in performance marketing, programmatic media, marketing technology stacks (e.g. DSPs, CDPs, DMPs).
Background in analytics, data science, or measurement frameworks.
P&L responsibility or budget stewardship experience.
Experience in scaling agency or team growth.
Existing network or relationships in Chicago/B2B, retail, hospitality, healthcare space a plus.
