Berrong Insurance Agency is seeking a motivated, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Associate. This is not just a front desk or data entry role—this is a career development opportunity designed to grow into a licensed Commercial Lines Account Manager position within our agency.
In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for our clients while supporting our service team with administrative and data entry tasks. As you gain experience, you will be trained in insurance products, client service workflows, and policy management, with the goal of transitioning into a Commercial Lines Account Manager role.
Responsibilities:
Answer incoming phone calls and route them to the appropriate team members
Greet clients and visitors, providing a professional and welcoming first impression
Perform accurate data entry and maintain client and policy information in our agency management system
Provide administrative and operational support to Account Managers and Producers
Assist with processing policy changes, documentation, and client requests
Learn insurance coverages, terminology, and service workflows over time
Support the team in delivering excellent customer service and timely communication
Growth Opportunity: This position is designed as a pathway into a Commercial Lines Account Manager role. As a Client Services Associate, you will:
Gain hands-on experience in client service and insurance operations
Receive ongoing training and mentorship from our team
Be supported in obtaining your insurance license
Transition into an Account Manager role as you develop skills and knowledge
Qualifications:
Strong interest in the insurance industry and a desire to build a long-term career
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
Previous customer-facing or administrative experience preferred
Data entry experience is a plus, but not required
Willingness to learn and grow into a licensed Account Manager role
Compensation & Benefits:
Starting pay is $15–$18 per hour with increases based on training milestones and licensing.
