Job Title: Client Transition Specialist Reports to: Owner
The Client Transition Specialist supports individuals and families—primarily older adults, as they navigate downsizing, moving, or transitioning to a new home. This role blends hands on assistance with compassion, patience, and professionalism. Specialists work closely with a Project Manager and fellow team members to sort, pack, move, unpack, and organize household belongings while maintaining a calm, respectful, and emotionally supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Transition & Move Support • Assist with sorting and organizing belongings to be moved, donated, sold, or discarded • Pack household items carefully and in accordance with company and industry standards • Photograph items designated for donation, sale, or disposal before removal • Unpack and set up the client’s new home using floor plans and direction from the Project Manager • Assist with light cleaning, home clearing, or final walkthrough tasks as needed • Treat all client belongings with care, respect, and confidentiality
Client Centered Service
• Promote client dignity, comfort, and emotional well being throughout the transition • Observe and report signs of emotional or physical stress to the Project Manager • Maintain a calm, patient, and professional presence at all times • Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and respect in every interaction • Contribute to a peaceful, cooperative, and solutions focused team culture • Model the values and spirit of “The Heart of Moving Matters”
Team Collaboration
• Work cohesively with team members and follow direction from the Project Manager • Communicate clearly, ask questions when needed, and support team goals • Maintain safe, unobstructed work areas and follow all safety procedures • Use tools and equipment properly and responsibly
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent • Must pass a background check • Legally authorized to work in the United States • Reliable transportation to worksites within a 50 mile radius of Stillwater, MN • Willing and able to load and drive company vehicles to and from job sites
Skills & Abilities
• Proficiency with computer software and phone apps (scheduling, timekeeping, communication tools) • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds • Comfortable with stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, and other physical tasks • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to follow instructions and provide clear direction to others • Emotional maturity, patience, and empathy • Ability to recognize client stress and respond appropriately • Ability to self adjust behavior to support client comfort (e.g., lowering voice, slowing pace) • Commitment to safety, professionalism, and maintaining a respectful work environment • Alignment with the owners’ vision, company goals, and expectations
