Job Description
We are seeking a Cloud AWS Architect who has some familiarity with security (or willing to learn it) for a contract-to-hire opportunity in the south Denver area. In this role, you will work closely with architecture peers across all of Information Technology and Cybersecurity to ensure that cloud projects and new initiatives are secured in accordance with audit and policy requirements. Additional responsibilities will include:
- Articulation of consistent security principles and technology standards that guide design, engineering and deployment of secure cloud products
- Collaboration across Enterprise Architecture and Cybersecurity on pattern definitions that help mitigate security risks within the cloud environment
- Thinks and acts strategically, staying abreast of cloud trends and advances in IT/Cybersecurity solutions and monitors changes in the operating environment
- Provides thought leadership using business communications, active collaboration, and leading cross-functional groups to deliver cybersecurity goals
- Develops external partnerships with vendors and outside entities as appropriate, and develops, maintains, and communicates the Cloud Security Architecture strategy in partnership with senior Business and leaders
- Takes ownership of key initiatives, coordinating strategies with other members of the Cybersecurity team and DevOps leaders to execute
- Presents business updates, recommendations, strategic opportunities and assessments to leadership and senior management as needed
