We've partnered with a digital health company that seeks to radically improve brain health outcomes by leveraging cutting-edge technology and machine learning to unlock precision brain health for as many people as possible.
We are seeking a Chief Technical Officer to lead data and engineering team as they scale rapidly to meet customer demands and penetrate new markets. The CTO will be a member of the leadership team and will play an essential role in engaging with employees, stakeholders, investors and customers to ensure that our company remains a technology leader at the intersection of neuroscience, AI/ML and digital health.
The Role:
- work with the rest of the executive team to articulate a strong technology vision and develop a technology roadmap for the company.
- build, manage and motivate the data and engineering teams to ensure a high-performance work environment.
- design and implement systems to ensure the smooth functioning of the company’s technology team.
- manage the recruiting, onboarding and retention of engineering, data science and AI/ML talent
- work closely with other departments, including product, growth and customer success, to ensure the optimal deployment of the company’s technology to delight customers.
- align the company's technology resources with the company’s short- and long-term goals.
- forecast and manage the department budget.
- help identify, and supervise the development of, technologies that will strengthen the company’s product and service offerings.
- ensure that the company maintains the highest level of security and privacy for all its products, including compliance with standards like HIPAA, GDPR, SOC-2 and ISO.
About you:
- Master’s Degree (PhD preferred) in Computer Science, AI/ML, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years software development experience with increasing responsibility; with an emphasis on building scalable, fault-tolerant, and robust products and platforms.
- proven experience in a leadership role
- technical strength and deep knowledge of the company’s stack
- experience in leading engineering and/or data science/AI/ML teams
- prior healthcare experience building API integrations into existing healthcare systems and infrastructure a plus.
- strong communications and strategic thinking skills.
