We are seeking a Clinical Director to lead and optimize operations at our outpatient counseling clinic. This role is focused on continuously improving clinician development and client/community impact through day-to-day operations.

Important Things About Us: Ellie was proudly founded on the principle of destigmatizing mental health. The mental health industry is full of barriers, and we’ve made it our mission to do mental health better for clinicians and communities. This position is an important part of our continued growth and comes with unmatched impact & growth opportunity.

Each Ellie is a locally-owned, in-person focused, responsible for-profit business. We’re values-driven, fully embracing Ellie core values (Authenticity, Acceptance, Creativity, Compassion, Determination, Humor) alongside our clinic values of Community, Stability and (double-stamped) Authenticity.

Really Important Things About You: You are:

A Change-Maker – You're motivated by missions larger than yourself. You know you can help teams achieve their missions better and take joy in contributing to collective success, growth and impact. It's the biggest part of what makes Ellie a great fit for you.

Accountable – You foster a culture of trust by consistently honoring commitments - your ‘Say vs. Do’ ratio is sky high. You take ownership of setting and reaching goals. Not because it’s expected, but because you’re vested in the outcome of your work.

Organized & systems-focused – Admin, meetings, clinical care, relationships, surprises and new projects... you maintain a high standard for all work while caring deeply about how work gets done. Minimizing the time and energy required to do routine work well - maximizing what’s available for the most impactful and fulfilling work only you (or your team) can do.

Someone who's dunnit– You've built & led awesome (preferably clinical) teams to achieve measurable goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

Clinician Recruiting, Onboarding & Enablement: Our Community starts with our team. Alongside the leadership team you’ll support the all-important process of recruiting with special care for candidate experience and selection. You’ll be responsible for ensuring new team members receive the expectations, guidance and support to be successful.

Caseload Development & Management: Provide clear expectations, support (including direct & managed outreach) and accountability for building and maintaining clinician caseloads. Provide corrective management promptly when needed.

Documentation Oversight: Ensure documentation meets clinic standards and is completed on time.

Staff Engagement: Our clinic reflects our values – Community, Stability, Authenticity. You’ll play a primary role in enriching clinic culture with connection and our common passion for learning and improvement.

Experience Management: Interactions are the basis of our impact. You’ll help ensure the experiences of our clients, referral partners and the general public are consistently remarkable. That our clinic is a warm, comfortable and predictable environment, every time. That we’re reachable, responsive, and supremely helpful in every interaction, in person, by phone or online.

    Key Skills and Requirements:

Licensed counselor with a minimum of 3 years of clinical or management experience.

    Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Ability to prioritize and systematize across multiple responsibilities.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities within diverse teams.

Familiarity with caseload management and healthcare documentation standards
