About the Role
As a Procedure Scheduler , you'll coordinate complex cardiology appointments and act as a key liaison between patients, providers, hospitals, and clinic departments. Your attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work independently will directly contribute to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Scheduling & Coordination
- Schedule and coordinate complex appointments, testing, and procedures on tight timelines
- Provide patients with detailed appointment prep instructions
- Manage all incoming and outgoing medical records
- Work closely with the RN Watchman Coordinator to support timely scheduling
Patient Communication & Triage
- Serve as a centralized point of contact for patients and families
- Conduct basic phone triage and respond to scheduling inquiries
- Maintain patient history and ensure EMR accuracy
Liaison & Support
- Act as a liaison between patients, providers, hospitals, and internal departments
- Support education efforts by preparing and distributing pre- and post-op materials
- Contribute to patient education content development with the clinical coordinator
- Deliver outstanding customer service in a compassionate and professional manner
Administrative Excellence
- Ensure appointments are free from conflicts and documentation is complete
- Assist with additional administrative tasks as assigned
- Demonstrate initiative and independence in a fast-paced work environment
What You'll Need to Succeed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 6 months related medical office or scheduling experience
- Previous Medical Assistant experience strongly preferred
- Strong multitasking, organization, and communication skills
- Proficiency in computer systems and EMR platforms
- Ability to remain compassionate and professional in a busy clinic setting
Work Environment
This is a full-time, in-office position located at:
910 W 5th Ave, Spokane, WA 99204
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekends or holidays
- Standard medical office environment
