Make a Difference Every Day in the Lives of Kids Living with Diabetes
We’re looking for a Registered Dietitian (RD, LD) with a passion for pediatrics and diabetes care to join our collaborative outpatient team. In this rewarding role, you’ll support children and families managing type 1 and type 2 diabetes through personalized nutrition counseling and education — both in outpatient annual assessments and occasional inpatient new-onset education.
?? What You’ll Do
See 4–8 pediatric patients/day in the outpatient clinic for annual diabetes assessments
Provide new-onset diabetes education for inpatients as needed
Develop, implement, and reassess individualized nutrition care plans
Deliver age-appropriate education and support for children and their families
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support long-term diabetes management
Help develop and refine education materials to better serve our patients
Adapt plans based on each child’s cultural, social, and economic background
? What You Bring
Registered Dietitian (RD) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration – Required
Licensed Dietitian (LD) through the Texas Department of Licensing – Required
Bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field – Required
Strong understanding of medical nutrition therapy, diabetes management, and pediatrics
Excellent communication and teaching skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
