    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly qualified and compassionate Clinical Director to lead and oversee all clinical operations at our substance abuse treatment facility. The Clinical Director is responsible for ensuring high-quality, ethical, and evidence-based treatment services while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. This role provides clinical leadership, supervision, and strategic direction to support positive client outcomes and staff development.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide overall leadership and oversight of all clinical programs and services

    Ensure compliance with state licensing, accreditation (e.g., CARF, Joint Commission), and regulatory requirements

    Develop, implement, and monitor evidence-based treatment protocols and clinical policies

    Supervise, mentor, and evaluate clinical staff, including therapists, counselors, and case managers

    Ensure accurate clinical documentation and timely completion of treatment plans, assessments, and discharge summaries

    Collaborate with executive leadership on program development, quality improvement, and organizational goals

    Manage clinical risk, crisis intervention, and ethical decision-making

    Participate in utilization review, audits, and outcome tracking

    Maintain strong communication with referral sources, community partners, and stakeholders

    Qualifications

    Master’s or Doctoral degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field

    Active, unrestricted clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PsyD, PhD) required

    Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment

    At least 2 years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience

    Strong knowledge of addiction treatment modalities, trauma-informed care, and co-occurring disorders

    Experience with compliance, accreditation, and clinical quality assurance

    Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience serving as Clinical Director or Program Director in a substance abuse treatment setting

    Familiarity with CARF or Joint Commission accreditation processes

    Experience in both residential and outpatient treatment settings
