Position Overview:
A growing behavioral health organization is seeking a Clinical Director to oversee its OASAS Article 32 licensed substance use program. This is a mission-critical leadership role responsible for ensuring compliance, clinical quality, and operational excellence across a multidisciplinary team serving both onsite and satellite locations.
The ideal candidate is an LCSW with experience supervising clinical teams in substance use treatment settings and is comfortable wearing two hats—balancing clinical supervision with regulatory compliance and program growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical & Supervisory Oversight
Lead and manage a team of 10+ clinicians (4–5 remote), providing supervision, guidance, and professional development
Oversee clinical service delivery, ensuring fidelity to treatment models, documentation standards, and service outcomes
Review and approve treatment plans, assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries
Act as a resource and mentor for staff regarding clinical decision-making and case consultation
Ensure timely onboarding, training, and performance reviews for clinical team
Compliance & Program Management
Ensure full compliance with OASAS Article 32 regulations, standards of care, and documentation requirements
Maintain audit readiness and oversee corrective action plans as needed
Partner with QA and administrative staff to uphold agency policies and clinical protocols
Coordinate with billing and administrative teams to support clean claims and proper documentation workflows
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) across program sites
Expansion & Community Partnerships
Oversee and support off-site partnerships including shelters, assisted living facilities, and embedded counselors
Participate in site visits, contract oversight, and the implementation of new service agreements
Collaborate with leadership on strategic growth,
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York State (required)
clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment
2+ years in a supervisory or leadership capacity within an OASAS-regulated setting
Deep familiarity with Article 32 compliance, or at least knowledge of OMH/Article 31
Comfortable managing both clinical and operational priorities simultaneously
