A top healthcare client is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) to join their team in Kansas City, MO. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee patient admissions and discharges to ensure smooth transitions and efficient throughput
- Monitor and evaluate the quality of care delivered, collaborating with leadership to drive improvements
- Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration across disciplines to support optimal outcomes
- Champion a patient-first philosophy and lead service recovery efforts when needed
- Support staff engagement through initiatives such as hourly rounding and employee feedback
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff; provide input on performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
- Assist with staff scheduling and labor management based on patient care needs and productivity standards
- Manage inventory and ensure proper use of supplies and equipment
Qualifications
Required Experience:
- Strong, current acute care experience in Med-Surg or Ortho/Trauma
- Prior experience as a charge nurse in an acute Med-Surg setting preferred
- Alternatively, at least two years of recent staff RN experience in Med-Surg
Education & Licensure:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
- Registered Nurse license in the state of Missouri or active compact license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required within 30 days of hire
Additional Requirements:
