We are seeking a Clinical Pharmacist with recent acute care hospital experience to provide comprehensive clinical and operational pharmacy services. Key Responsibilities
Interpret, verify, and accurately enter medication orders into the pharmacy system.
Compound and dispense medications in accordance with regulatory and institutional standards.
Monitor drug therapy for contraindications, allergies, interactions, therapeutic appropriateness, and dose accuracy.
Support and uphold the hospital formulary, promoting therapeutic interchange and cost-effective medication management.
Provide timely and accurate medication information to physicians, nurses, and patients.
Participate in clinical programs including:
Pharmacokinetics
Anticoagulation management
Nutrition support
Pain management
IV-to-PO conversions
Renal dosing and additional programs designated by Pharmacy Leadership
Document clinical interventions and activities thoroughly and accurately.
Report and document medication errors and adverse drug reactions.
Oversee pharmacy operations and offer guidance and support to pharmacy technicians and team members.
Required Qualifications
Must have acute hospital pharmacist experience within the last 12 months
Open to new graduates with a completed hospital pharmacy internship
Preferred: 1+ year of recent hospital experience or completion of PGY-1 Residency
B.S. Pharm or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
Active Florida Pharmacist License in good standing
Strong communication skills and the ability to function independently in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
Previous HCA Healthcare experience is a significant plus
Schedule Options
Mixed Shift: 6:00 AM–4:30 PM & 9:30 AM–8:00 PM
Night Shift (7 on / 7 off): Wednesday–Tuesday, 8:00 PM–6:30 AM
Reporting to: Director of Pharmacy
Department: Central Pharmacy (not unit-based)
Compensation & Incentives
Hourly Range: $58.15–$73.56 (based on experience)
Shift Differentials:
Evenings: +$3.00/hr
Nights: +$6.00/hr
$10,000 Sign-On Bonus
Paid in 5 installments over 24 months
