    Job Summary:
    The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for delivering comprehensive psychological assessments, therapeutic interventions, and ongoing mental health support to clients across different demographics. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and support the overall mission of Alpha and Omega.

    This clinician plays a key role in expanding access to high-quality diagnostic services, supporting interdisciplinary collaboration, and ensuring families receive clear, compassionate, and culturally responsive clinical guidance.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Diagnostic Evaluation & Assessment
    • Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations for children and adolescents suspected of ASD or related neurodevelopment disorders.
    • Provide sensitive, clear, and culturally competent feedback to parents and caregivers.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (BCBAs, RBTs, EI providers) to support continuity of care.
    • Offer consultation to internal teams, schools, pediatricians, and community partners.
    • Participate in internal team meetings, provider training, and clinical quality initiatives.
    • Assist with expansion of diagnostic programming, policies, and structure as needed.
    • Maintain knowledge of state and payer-specific diagnostic requirements (FL, NY, VA).
    • Support compliance with documentation timelines and regulatory standards.
    • Contribute to organizational growth and high service quality across AOK markets.
    • Administer, score, interpret, and provide written and verbal feedback on standardized assessment tools.
    • Utilize autism-specific tools including ADOS-2 and ADI-R, plus assessments related to:
    • Developmental/cognitive functioning
    • Adaptive behavior
    • Social/behavioral functioning
    • Speech, language, and communication
    • Medical and neurological considerations

    Qualifications:

    - Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) from an accredited institution.
    - Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in VA.
    - Proficient in a variety of therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or others.
    - Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    - Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
    - Commitment to ethical practice and sensitivity to confidentiality.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    - Experience working with diverse populations.
    - Bilingual or multilingual capabilities.
    - Experience in specialized areas such as trauma, substance use, or child and adolescent psychology.
