Role Overview
The Clinical Recruitment & Locums Partnerships Manager – Business Development will drive Optigy’s growth by selling our full suite of recruitment solutions, with a focus on Locums coverage, Retained Search, and RPO partnerships.
This role requires a proven track record selling clinical staffing solutions — specifically locums tenens coverage and enterprise recruitment models. You will own the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship-building through negotiation and closing, while collaborating closely with delivery teams to ensure successful client engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Sell across Optigy’s service lines: Locums, Retained Search, RPO, Direct Hire/Contingency, and Consulting.
Identify, target, and engage healthcare organizations in need of clinical recruitment and staffing solutions (physicians, APPs, nursing, allied, and non-clinical roles).
Manage the entire sales cycle: prospecting, needs analysis, solution design, proposal, negotiation, and contract execution.
Build trusted relationships with executive decision makers (CEOs, CMOs, CHROs, COOs, and Medical Directors).
Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities using Crelate (CRM).
Partner with internal delivery teams to ensure smooth handoff and client satisfaction.
Provide market intelligence and feedback to leadership to guide Optigy’s strategy.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of business development/sales experience in healthcare staffing, with direct experience selling locums services.
Demonstrated success selling retained search and/or RPO solutions.
Strong understanding of provider workforce challenges and value-based care models.
Proven ability to engage and influence healthcare executives and decision makers.
Experience negotiating multi-year, consultative agreements.
CRM proficiency.
Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Established network of healthcare executives and medical group decision makers.
Experience selling into ACOs, PE/VC-backed provider groups, health systems, or FQHCs.
Background in physician/APP recruitment sales strongly preferred.
