    PNS Clinical Research is a full-service Site Management Organization (SMO) that provides administrative and operational support to help facilitate Phase II-IV clinical trials. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Research Director to lead our clinical research team. The Director will be responsible for overseeing all clinical research programs, from study feasibility to patient enrollment and data analysis. This role requires a proven track record of successfully managing clinical trials within a Phase II-IV setting. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with the ability to secure funding and build a robust research portfolio that aligns with PNS’s mission.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead and manage the clinical research team, including staff supervision, mentorship, and performance management

    Oversee study operations, timelines, budgets, metrics, and regulatory compliance

    Collaborate closely with physicians, clinical staff, and external partners to identify research opportunities and patient enrollment strategies

    Optimize operational workflows by maximizing the use of our AI-enabled recruitment tools, EMR integration, and eSource/eISF systems.

    Partner with investigators, sponsors, CROs, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth trial execution.

    Maintain and develop SOPs, policies, and best practices to drive efficiency, scalability, and quality.

    Monitor site performance and proactively address bottlenecks in enrollment, data management, and compliance

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or related field (advanced degree preferred).

    8+ years of experience in clinical trial operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership/management role; experience in psychiatric research is highly desired

    Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, GCP, and ICH guidelines

    Experience leveraging technology platforms for clinical trial management (eSource, eISF, EMR integrations, or AI-based recruitment)

    Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and grow diverse teams

    Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

    Strategic mindset with a passion for innovation in patient-centered research

    Location: In-office in Orange, CA

    Salary range: $130,000 - $180,000 per year
