POSITION SUMMARY:
The Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) is a licensed clinical professional responsible for delivering protocol-specific clinical care and supporting the safe execution of clinical trials under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. This role focuses on participant care, clinical procedures, and medical documentation within a Phase I clinical trial environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct protocol-required clinical procedures and participant visits
- Perform clinical assessments and maintain accurate clinical source documentation
- Administer investigational treatments or interventions as delegated by the Principal Investigator
- Support participant safety oversight throughout clinical trials
- Assist with informed consent discussions from a clinical perspective in collaboration with the Principal Investigator
- Collect, handle, and document biological samples in accordance with protocol requirements
- Collaborate with the Clinical Research Coordinator to ensure protocol adherence during study visits
- Maintain accurate clinical records (EMR and source documentation) in compliance with institutional policies and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
- Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills, with experience supporting wound care patient populations preferred
- Ability to work within structured clinical research protocols while maintaining high standards of patient safety and care coordination
- Knowledge of wound care clinical environments and interdisciplinary collaboration within outpatient or specialty care settings
- Effective communication skills to support patient engagement, investigator collaboration, and coordination with research staff
- Strong attention to detail in clinical documentation and maintenance of accurate medical source records
