High-level Job Description
The Clinical Supervisor, a member of the Hospice Interdisciplinary Team, provides skilled nursing and initial and ongoing comprehensive assessment services and assists in the initial and ongoing development of the hospice patient and family plan of care along with members of the Hospice interdisciplinary team, the patient’s physician and the patient and family. Skilled nursing services include but are not limited to patient assessment, evaluation, and case management of medical needs of the patient, the performance of prescribed medical treatment for pain and symptom control, the provision of emotional support to the patient and loved ones and the instruction of caregivers in providing personal care to the family. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of clinical personnel, ensuring that patient care is delivered, coordinated and managed appropriately.
Pay Rate and Benefits
Highly compatible pay rate based on relevant work experience and qualification. We offer employee benefits including Paid Sick Leave and 401K retirement plan with optional company matching. Other benefits may apply if work schedule increases to 30-40 hours.
Hourly Rate: $70-$80
Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience as a hospice or homecare Registered Nurse within the past 5 years.
2 years of Hospice supervisory/ management experience.
Baccalaureate degree in nursing from a program accredited by the National League for Nursing.
Current licensure in the State of California.
Maintains active Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) CPR certification.
Valid California Drivers License and auto insurance.
Work independently and have excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills, and nursing skills per competency checklist.
Knowledge of and commitment to hospice philosophy of care.
