Position Summary The Clinical Support Assistant is responsible for supporting daily clinical site/office services and agency operations through specimen collection, fingerprint collection, interviews, billing support, and administrative and clinical assistance. This position requires a high level of professionalism, reliability, confidentiality, and attention to detail. The Clinical Support Assistant interacts regularly with individuals receiving services, agency staff, county representatives, and external partners and must comply with all applicable state regulations, agency policies, and safety standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Clinical site/office Support
Obtain and properly handle urine specimens in accordance with agency policies, procedures, and infection control standard
Administer breathalyzer screenings as required
Obtain fingerprints following established protocols
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical site/office environment
Working in the field with Individuals as a DSP as required or needed
Administrative and Operational Support
Respond to and coordinate multiple county service requests in a timely and professional manner
Conduct interviews for clients and prospective staff as assigned
Assist field staff with assigned tasks, including:
Documentation review and support
Scheduling coordination
Customer relations and professional communication with clients and families
Assist with billing-related tasks, including documentation review and submission support
Ensure accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of all client, staff, and agency information
Compliance and Professional Conduct
Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and agency policies
Follow all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including agency policies and procedures
Demonstrate respectful, professional interaction with individuals receiving services, staff, county personnel, and external partners
Perform additional administrative or clinical duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or GED preferred
Home care or direct support experience required
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading or managing a small group
Prior experience in clinical, lab, or administrative support roles

Ability to follow established procedures and manage multiple tasks
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Ability to stand, sit, and walk throughout the shift
Ability to follow infection control and safety practices
Comfortable performing specimen collection, screenings, and administrative duties
Ability to perform job duties in an office and clinical site/office environment
