    About the Role

Phoenix Residential is a trauma-informed residential facility serving youth with emotional and behavioral challenges. We operate using the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) model — and we're looking for a Treatment Director who genuinely believes in it.

This is a director-level clinical leadership role. You'll own the quality and integrity of all therapeutic programming, guide a multidisciplinary team, and be a consistent, grounding presence for the young people in our care. If you've spent your career in juvenile residential, behavioral health, or psychiatric settings and want a role with real influence over how treatment is delivered — not just documented — this is it.

    Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position (40 hrs/week). Because we serve youth around the clock, the role requires schedule flexibility, including:

    Occasional evenings

    Some weekends

    Holiday coverage (rotated)

Scheduling is coordinated in advance and shared across the leadership team.

    What You’ll Do

Lead the day-to-day clinical integrity and quality of all treatment program components in compliance with DFPS Minimum Standards

Champion and sustain the TBRI model — providing ongoing training, coaching, and fidelity monitoring to staff

Supervise contracted clinical professionals, including therapists, physicians, and registered nurses

Conduct admission assessments and determine appropriate levels of care for each child

Develop, review, and update individualized service plans tailored to each youth's strengths and needs

Serve as a core treatment team member — participating in clinical decision-making and interdisciplinary collaboration

Review medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to physician orders

Who Qualifies and What We're Looking For

Per DFPS standards, you qualify if you hold one of the following credentials:

Option A Psychiatrist or licensed psychologist — no additional experience requirement

Option B Master's degree in a human services field from an accredited institution, with 3 years of experience providing treatment services to children with emotional disorders — including at least 1 year in a residential childcare setting

Option C LMSW, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT with 3 years of experience providing treatment services to children with emotional disorders — including at least 1 year in a residential childcare setting

    Option D Registered Nurse

    All candidates must also have:

Demonstrated experience in trauma-informed care; TBRI training or certification preferred

Strong leadership, communication, and crisis-intervention skills

Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Ability to pass FBI fingerprinting and a pre-employment drug screen

    Compensation and Benefits

Base salary: $75,000 – $95,000, depending on licensure, credentials, and experience. Salary is discussed transparently during the interview process. Benefits include:

Health insurance (Medical, dental and vision)

    Accrued paid time off

    Professional development
