Clinician III / Counselor – Human Rights Coordinator
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Required Licensure: LCSW, LPC, LCP, or LMHP
Role Summary
Serve as a senior-level clinician responsible for complex assessment, investigation, consultation, and planning activities across Behavioral Health (BH) and Developmental Services (DS) programs. This position ensures the effective coordination and implementation of the Department’s human rights procedures and supports compliance with all applicable regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and clinically informed follow-up related to incident events involving individuals receiving services.
• Lead and support investigations to ensure adherence to human rights protections and regulatory expectations.
• Provide expert consultation to internal teams, service providers, and stakeholders regarding human rights processes, risk mitigation, and service planning.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with DBHDS Office of Licensing and DBHDS Office of Human Rights requirements.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to strengthen service delivery, documentation, and quality assurance practices.
• Contribute to policy development, training, and continuous improvement initiatives related to human rights and service standards.
