Immanuel Lutheran Day School (ILDS) is seeking a dedicated Closer Preschool Teacher to join our team! We are a Christian early childhood program committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled environment where children grow emotionally, socially, spiritually, and academically.
Position Details
Schedule: Closing shift, Monday–Friday
Hours: Full Time - 9am to 6pm & Part Time - 1pm/2pm to 6pm
Starting Pay: $16.00/hour plus DOE
Status: Non-exempt, hourly
Reports to: Director/Assistant Director

Responsibilities
Provide direct supervision, care, and guidance to children in assigned classroom.
Implement age-appropriate activities that support developmental growth.
Ensure safe, positive, and nurturing interactions at all times.
Follow ILDS and Texas Minimum Standards policies, including mandated reporting.
Assist with end-of-day routines including classroom cleaning, parent communication, and securing the building.
Maintain professional and courteous relationships with children, families, and staff.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years old (per state licensing).
Previous experience in a child care or preschool setting preferred.
Ability to pass background checks as required by Texas DFPS.

Additional Position Duties (if applicable)
After School Van Driver (not required but would love to add more drivers)
Safely transport children to and from local schools and ILDS.
Maintain appropriate licensing and clear driving record per Texas Minimum Standards.
Follow all ILDS transportation policies and safety regulations.
Provide a caring, reliable, and professional presence for children during transit.
Must be 25 years to be a Van Driver.
