Cloud Computing Instructor - Higher Education - Base Salary to 95k/year - Minneapolis, MN
Our client is seeking a Cloud Computing Instructor to join its technology program. This position is designed for an experienced cloud computing, cloud engineering, DevOps, cybersecurity, systems administration, networking, or infrastructure engineering professional interested in applying industry experience within higher education. Prior teaching experience is not required. The role combines technical instruction, curriculum development, hands-on cloud laboratory instruction, student mentoring, and career preparation for students pursuing careers in cloud computing, cloud security, DevOps, and infrastructure engineering.
Responsibilities:
Deliver instruction in cloud computing, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, DevOps, systems administration, networking, and infrastructure technologies.
Develop and maintain hands-on lectures, cloud labs, projects, and curriculum aligned with current cloud computing and technology standards.
Provide instruction involving cloud platforms and technologies, including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Support hands-on learning in cloud architecture, cloud infrastructure, networking, automation, containers, scalability, disaster recovery, and cloud security.
Maintain cloud lab environments and evaluate emerging cloud technologies, platforms, and infrastructure tools.
Assess student progress and provide technical guidance supporting academic and career development.
Support industry certification preparation, capstone projects, student recruitment, retention, and career readiness.
Collaborate with faculty and industry partners on curriculum development and technology career opportunities.
Maintain current knowledge of cloud computing, cybersecurity, DevOps, infrastructure technologies, and related industry practices.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related engineering field required.
5+ years of industry experience in cloud computing, cloud engineering, DevOps, systems administration, networking, infrastructure engineering, cybersecurity, or related areas required.
Cloud computing training or professional cloud experience required.
