Cloud Engineer
Location: On-site (Customer Location)
Position Overview The Cloud Engineer automates deployments, optimizes performance, and maintains secure AWS infrastructure within an Agile environment. This role handles full-stack operational support, monitoring, enterprise authentication, and technical customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Security: Maintain AWS environment (EC2, S3, Load Balancers, RDS); ensure compliance with A&A security requirements; optimize for cost, search, and autoscaling.
DevOps & Automation: Automate service deployments, build CI/CD pipelines, and support containerized full-stack applications in production.
Software Development: Execute end-to-end feature design, refactor legacy code, write/read unit tests, and maintain relational databases.
Technical Support & Leadership: Gather customer requirements, resolve operational issues, produce detailed documentation, and mentor junior developers.
Qualifications & Requirements
Clearance & Citizenship: Active TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required.
Experience: 8+ years of IT experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent work/military experience); 8+ years of IT experience.
Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliant (Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA).
Technical Skills
Core: AWS Ecosystem, Linux/Windows troubleshooting, Scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or Perl).
Development: JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, Microservices architecture, REST API integration, Relational Databases (PostgreSQL).
Containers & Delivery: Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, Nexus, Agile/Scrum processes.
Preferred Qualifications
AWS CLI and Cloud APIs.
Programming languages: Go, Python, Ruby, or Java.
Web basics: HTML, CSS, Markdown.
AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
