Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Network Engineer (AWS-focused) to design, implement, and support scalable, resilient network infrastructure across hybrid environments. You’ll ensure low-latency, high-performance connectivity for global applications while integrating AWS environments with on-premises data centers.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage AWS network architecture, including:
VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT Gateways, Internet Gateways
VPC Peering, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink
Architect and support hybrid connectivity between AWS and on-premises data centers (VPN, Direct Connect)
Optimize network performance, latency, and availability for production systems
Partner with SRE and application teams to support scalable, fault-tolerant architectures
Implement and maintain network security controls (Security Groups, NACLs, routing policies)
Integrate AWS networking with firewalls and edge security solutions
Support load balancing and traffic management (ALB/NLB, Route 53, and/or F5 Big-IP LTM/GTM)
Troubleshoot complex network issues across cloud and hybrid environments
Build monitoring, logging, and alerting (VPC Flow Logs, CloudWatch, SNMP, Syslog-based tools)
Contribute to automation and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, and similar tools
Participate in on-call rotation supporting critical production systems
Qualifications
5–8+ years of network engineering experience with strong cloud exposure
Hands-on AWS networking expertise (VPCs, routing, connectivity patterns)
Strong fundamentals in TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, and routing concepts
Experience with hybrid networking (VPN, Direct Connect, on-premises integration)
Background with enterprise networking hardware and security (Cisco, Juniper, firewalls)
Experience supporting high-availability, production environments
Strong troubleshooting across layered network architectures
Experience with Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, and multi-account architectures
Familiarity with load balancing (AWS ELB/ALB/NLB, F5 Big-IP)
Scripting/automation experience (Python, Bash)
Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation)
