PRINCIPAL CLOUD ARCHITECT

Cloud49 is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cloud Architect to join our team. The Principal Cloud Solutions Architect will support our exponentially growing public cloud services business. Work scope ranges from implementations to managed services. Candidate needs the maturity to understand customer business requirements and craft scalable and resilient cloud architectures using Azure Cloud Services. The Principal Cloud Solution Architect will engage with customers in both pre and post implementation capacities and must be equally comfortable interacting with application developers, system administrators, or business users. Candidate must be willing to invest time and energy to train, grow skills, and gain certifications as training and developing our employees is a core company value.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

Professional level experience as an Azure architect 

Vetting cloud based solutions and leading architecture and design discussions

Deploying the agreed upon architecture, migrations, and managed services

Expert level understanding of Azure including: 

• Compute Strategies and technologies (Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, Azure Container Instances such as Azure Kubernetes) 
• Azure migration (Including Site Recovery)
• Azure Network and Gateways (Network OSI, ExpressRoute Circuit design and configuration, VPN Gateway Design and Configuration, Network Security Groups and VNET Service Endpoints) 
• Identity and Security Workloads (Azure RBAC, MFA, Seamless SSO and identity management approaches utilizing authentication tech) 
• Azure Storage (Azure Storage Firewalls and Virtual network integration, SAS, SSE, RBAC, and Azure Storage Security and analytics)
• Azure ITFM (Quoting, enterprise agreements, tenants and subscriptions management, and cost management)
• Azure Business Continuity (Recovery Solution Hybrid Cloud, highly available solutions)

Demonstrated experience working in a Windows or Linux production environment

Experience in one or more of the following: Python, Powershell, and Bash

Experience with Terraform, Ansible, monitoring tools

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Professional Cloud certifications including certified solution architect

LOCATION: Austin, Texas, USA – In office/datacenter (50%) and Remote (50%)
