Club SciKidz MD offers science and technology summer camps for children ages 4-15 years in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Howard, and Montgomery counties. We are hiring Jr. Counselors to work in our camps in Garrett Park/Kensginto n. The Jr. Counselor position is only for high school students at least 16 years of age.

Our day camps run Monday-Friday, and staff are scheduled by the week. We ask for a commitment of at least 4 weeks. Staff hours are approximately 8:15am-4:15pm and one before and after care a week. Pay for Jr. Counselors ranges between $460-$470 a week and is dependent on their grade in school and experience working with kids.

We are looking for folks who:

• Enjoy working with children
• Want to gain more experience working with children
• Want to help children learn and have a fun science & technology camp experience
• Are reliable & hard working; have reliable transportation
• Can commit to work at least four weeks between June 17th-August 2nd.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Supervising campers
• Helping counselors & instructors implement the lessons and activities
• Helping keep kids engaged, while maintaining a safe environment
• Have fun with what you are doing
• Being on time every day for your required shifts (you are scheduled by the week, so you work a whole week (Monday-Friday) for the weeks you are scheduled)
• Working with other staff to provide an excellent camp experience
