    Club SciKidz runs educational cooking camps and after school programs throughout Howard County. We are currently looking for LEAD INSTRUCTORS FOR OUR COOKING CLASSES THAT START THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 19TH & 26TH  IN HOWARD COUNTY. Our classes are not the "traditional" cooking camps. We teach educational concepts through food and cooking. While students will be making recipes and learning kitchen skills, they'll be learning other content.

    WE HAVE THE FOLLOWING OPENINGS STARTING THE WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 19TH & 26TH:

    MONDAY @ POINTERS RUN ES, Cooking Class (grades K-5); 4:10-5:25 (arrive @ 3:40); six week session

    TUESDAY @ ROCKBURN ES, Cooking Class (grades K-5); 3:35-4:50 (arrive @ 2:45)

    TUESDAY @ BUSHY PARK ES, Cooking Class (grades K-5); 4:00-5:15 (arrive @ 3:30)

    WEDNESDAY @ NORTHFIELD ES, Cooking Class (K-5); 3:30-4:45 (arrive at 3:00); six week session

    THURSDAY @ DAYTON OAKS ES, Cooking Class (K-5); 3:35-4:50 (arrive at 3:05); six week session

    THURSDAY @ FULTON ES, Cooking Class (K-5); 4:10-5:25 (arrive at 3:30); six week session

    FRIDAY @ HAMMOND ES, Cooking Class (grades K-5); 3:35-4:50 (arrive @ 3:05); six week session

    PROGRAM DETAILS:

    • Programs run for 1 hour and 15 minutes once a week, for 6 weeks. Applicants need to be able to commit to working all weeks in the session.
    • Monday classes start week of September 19th and all other classes start the week of September 26th.
    • For cooking classes, arrival time is 30 minutes before the start of class and it usually takes about 15-20 minutes to clean up after class.
    • You are paid by the class. Salary starts at $60 per class (for lead instructors). Additional money available if able to assist with material pick up and drop off.
    • All lessons and materials are provided.

    IDEAL CANDIDATE:

    • We are looking for FOLKS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH AND TEACHING CHILDREN. You will be the lead instructor and need to be comfortable with teaching a group of up to 16 students. You will also need to agree to have a background check.
    • While extensive cooking experience isn't needed, basic cooking and an interest in cooking is preferred. The lessons contain simple recipes that anyone can follow.
    • Must have reliable transportation.
    • Must be punctual and reliable. Arriving late, call-outs and no-shows are not acceptable and cannot be tolerated.
    • If you'd like to teach more than one class a week, we often have more than one class available.
