About the Role
The Oglethorpe Club is seeking a hands-on, hospitality-driven Clubhouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our historic and prestigious club. This role is all about making sure our members feel at home—every time they walk through the door.
You’ll be the face of the clubhouse experience, working closely with the General Manager and leading the front-of-house team to deliver excellent service across all dining, event, and social spaces. From ensuring everything runs smoothly during dinner service, to coordinating with housekeeping and maintenance, you’ll help keep the club operating at its best.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead Daily Clubhouse Operations Oversee the overall member experience in all member areas of the Club—dining rooms, tavern, bars, and catering spaces.
Support and Supervise the Service Team Help hire, train, and lead a genuine, professional staff that’s focused on top-tier service. Ensure team members are well-prepared, well-presented, and delivering consistently excellent hospitality.
Be Visible and Member-Focused Spend time in member areas, greet guests, and build relationships. Understand member preferences and ensure personalized experiences.
Work Across Departments Coordinate with the kitchen, maintenance, housekeeping, and administrative staff to keep operations smooth and seamless.
Maintain High Standards Ensure all areas are clean, organized, and up to the Club’s service and appearance standards. Monitor for issues and address them promptly.
Manage Labor and Schedules Build effective schedules, reduce overtime, and keep labor costs within budget.
Assist with Booking, Executing Catering & Club Events Help plan and support the execution of Club-hosted events and activities. Keep things organized, on time, and member-focused.
Contribute to the Bigger Picture Work closely with the General Manager on improving member experience, managing budgets, and helping the Club grow stronger.
