    JOB TITLE: Server

    REPORTS TO: Food and Beverage Director

    SCHEDULE: Full-Time or Seasonal (weekends and holidays required during peak season: May–September)

    COMPENSATION: Hourly (Non-Exempt)

    Burning Tree Country Club is seeking professional, hospitality-driven, and service-focused Servers to join our Food & Beverage team. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to Members and guests through attentive service, strong communication, and a commitment to excellence.

    Servers play a critical role in executing both à la carte dining and Club events, ensuring every interaction reflects the standards, traditions, and service philosophy of Burning Tree Country Club.

    Who You Are

    You are a hospitality professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional service and creating memorable dining experiences. You:

    • Demonstrate genuine hospitality and strong communication skills

    • Are passionate about managing the guest experience from start to finish

    • Thrive in a team-oriented, service-driven environment

    • Maintain professionalism and composure in a fast-paced setting

    • Have 3+ years of food service experience in a private club, fine dining, or upscale hospitality environment (preferred)

    • Are eager to grow and develop within the hospitality industry

    As a Server, you play a direct role in shaping the Member experience and upholding the Club’s service standards.

    The Essentials (Core Responsibilities)

    • Provide attentive, personalized service to Members and guests throughout their dining experience

    • Take accurate food and beverage orders and deliver them in a timely and professional manner

    • Demonstrate strong knowledge of menus, including food, wine, and beverage offerings

    • Anticipate Member needs and provide proactive, thoughtful service

    • Maintain proper tableside etiquette and service standards

    • Follow all food safety procedures and maintain awareness of food allergens

    • Operate POS systems accurately and efficiently

    • Complete all side work duties including restocking, polishing, folding napkins, and resetting tables

    • Assist with greeting and seating Members when needed

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service area

    • Work both independently within assigned sections and collaboratively with the team

    The Standards (Qualifications & Professional Conduct)

    Education & Experience

    • Prior experience in food service required; private club or fine dining experience preferred

    Skills & Competencies

    • Basic knowledge of food, wine, beer, and spirits

    • Understanding of dining room etiquette and service standards

    • Strong math skills for order accuracy and transactions

    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

    Communication Skills

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with Members and staff

    • Friendly, outgoing, and service-oriented demeanor

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

    • Frequent use of hands for carrying trays, handling service items, and operating POS systems

    • Occasional bending, stooping, and reaching

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

    • Ability to perform in a fast-paced dining environment
