Clunn Acoustical Systems (CAS) is looking for a highly motivated an Acoustical Ceiling Estimator to join our team.  We are looking for someone with drive and determination to jump right in.

DESCRIPTION

The Estimator must be proficient and knowledgeable in estimating specialty and acoustical for large commercial projects. They must be able to negotiate with contractors, sub-contractors, and suppliers, budget the projects, establish relationships, and work closely with project managers and owners. The Estimator will prepare estimates and written specifications for acoustical and specialty ceiling projects for projects ranging from $250,000-$1 million.

 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review incoming bid list
• Review drawings, specifications, and proposed project site conditions
• Participate in design/ build pre-construction meetings
• Complete detailed take offs and estimates
• Provide alternates and value engineering options
• Communicate with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, field supervisor and suppliers to provide accurate estimates
• Assist Project Managers, Field Supervisor, and Foremen in Project Hand-off

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Proficiency with On Screen Take Off, QuickBid, PlanGrid, BlueBeam
• Knowledge of construction principals
• Ability to complete a detailed take off and estimate
• Keen attention to detail
• Highly motivated and driven
• Ability to work independently and as a team

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• 5 + Years experience
• Bachelor’s Degree – Engineering, Construction Management or similar degree, or equivalent technical training and/or work experience
• Preferred experience in Acoustical & Specialty Ceiling Estimating experience
